    O-tee Pet Sounds. wth?

so i got the Beach Boys pet sounds CD. WOW
i was looking for some cds and checked out some audiophile pages to see what cd recordings they might suggest. one cd that seemed really popular was Pet Sounds. so i got a copy from ebay. I've always liked the beach boys i figured this should be great, the first song was a little off but sounded really good, hey it'll get better, right? by the 3rd song well, not yet, turns out the whole thing was a 35 minute love letter to his girlfriend. a LOOONNNNGGGGGGG 35 minutes. all in all i may never voluntarily put that thing back in my disc player ever.

Lol. I?ve heard the same things about that CD, that it is ?audiophool? quality. But I?ve never heard it. Thanks for saving me from the disappointment.

Some of the other Beach Boys stuff does sound pretty good on the Altecs though.

No, you have to listen. If I sat thru the whole damn thing, so do the rest of you.

Ditto. We have the book... a little hard to get through, I don't think I made it all the way. There is some repetition.

Maybe the PS listen will inspire me to crack it open and find applicable passages.
